Cheesekids for Humanity News
Join the revolution. spread the word!
So... evidently, I'm kind of bad at this blogging thing. I just need to make more time for it.
Anyhoo, let me do a quick catch-up.
So COLORFEST was AWESOME!! Totally felt good to be doing something meaningful for other people who are less fortunate. It was a lot of work, no doubt, but I enjoyed it. I got to meet new people, and we all worked together to finish the classrooms that needed a face lift. That day, I left that school feeling so proud to be a cheesekid : )
And now, NELSON MANDELA DAY is coming up! so excited! But I have to be honest. At first I didn't think I would do anything for it. My schedule is a bit crazy with all the schoolwork that I have to finish. Postgraduate is no joke. But I figured, it is just a few hours of my time that is being asked. A few hours won't hurt. And I even stepped up to offer myself to be a team leader, since more are needed in the Durban area. Hence, I'm so excited!! I'm really looking forward to the 15th. I didn't take part last year. So this will be my first. I hope there will be lots and lots of people there.
Lastly, I just wanna say, what cheesekids is doing is really good and it's something that's needed in our country. Having people from different backgrounds coming together to engage, share experiences and do something good forthose less fortunate is a beautiful thing. I certainly am proud to be part of it. And I would encourage anyone reading this blog to spread the word. It would be great to have even more people being involved in the events that are hosted.
Mo' cheese!!
