Cheesekids for Humanity News
Cape Town Recruits for the Guardianship!
Good Day, My name is Odwa Noah (no relation to the dude from the Ark – But maybe to Trevor… ~).
I live in a suburb called Langa in Cape Town and am self-employed.I am currently the lead representative for Cheesekids for Humanity for Cape Town, and have been involved with Cheesekids events in Cape Town for 2 years or so.
I’m very passionate when it comes to matters related to giving back and assisting underprivileged individuals, organisations and communities, thus it made sense for me to take an active involvement in an organisation like Cheesekids For Humanity. What did help in the decision was knowing the founder of Cheesekids, from U.C.T. days.
However, I am not solely involved with Cheesekids events, as stated above, this is close to my heart and wherever an opportunity presents itself, I will not back down to make a contribution. But where Cheesekids Cape Town is concerned, we have had many struggles in having a core group of volunteers to represent the organisation, not just during the larger events, which come with marketing and rallying of support, but for also the bi-monthly / monthly events, which tend to be smaller and less advertised.
So in trying to address this, I would like to call on your continued support, throughout the year, where we can have a core group of people who we can rely on as support, in coordinating and executing the Cheesekids for Humanity Cape Town events. This is not a strenuous ask, for if we end up with a steady group of 12 dedicated people, events will become more streamlined and less labour intensive to carry out.
So please, respond to the mentioned contact details, if you feel you are ready to commit to a worthy initiative like Cheesekids for Humanity. I look forward to seeing you at the next event!
Cheers,
Odwa
